We are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer/Category Manager to join our family, you will be contributing significantly to our Commercial Department in a key role focused on delivering our product growth plans and diversifying our portfolio with your own category knowledge and expertise.
You will be free to make the role your own, without being pigeon holed into certain categories, we want to know what you can bring to us.
We are looking for someone to think outside the box with all ideas considered.As well as ensuring short term success and profitability, you will need to be able to forecast what the market will look like in 12-18 months time and what products will be popular.

Contribute to the businesses product diversification objective by onboarding new suppliers and vendors for a new or existing category
Have a good market understanding, ensuring we remain competitive by continually analysing products, competition, and customers
Negotiation of all trading terms, these include payment terms, trade pricing, discount structures/rebates, and promotional and marketing support
Ensure products assets are available and meet set standards
Manage stock levels in line with the businesses KPIs
The setting of sales and profit targets
Report monthly performance against agreed sales and profit targets, taking decisive action to ensure these stay on track
Nurture and build long term relationships with vendors and suppliers
Motivate, lead and support the category team
Work with our Digital marketing team to organise and set-up promotions and clear EOL lines
Support our customer relation team with technical and product knowledge, helping them answer category related questions
