We are also growing, and quickly, so the remit is not limited to one site (the other one is only 5 minutes away). This role will be heading up that infrastructure and making sure everything behind the scenes is operating at optimal levels, you will be the unsung hero.Apply
Support and maintain the IT infrastructure to ensure the maximum uptime, including monitoring server/network performance and security systems.
Triaging, responding to and managing helpdesk enquiries and user admin requests, ensuring 1st and 2nd line support requests are followed through and resolved by your team members.
Provide technical expertise and assist in the day to day management of the technical foundations of the business.
Seek opportunities for improvement, highlight potential risks and act to proactively resolve issues.
Project manage and implement changes to the network infrastructure.
Coordinate and work with third party IT service suppliers.
Purchasing of IT hardware, and managing hardware and software assets.
Experience managing the entire infrastructure of a multi-site operation.
Strong understanding of server technology and hardware, including virtualization (Hyper-V or VMware), Microsoft and Linux Operating Systems.
Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP.
Good understanding of computer networks including TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, VLANs.
Familiarity with Cisco Meraki and Ubiquiti Unifi devices would be good.
Experience of leading and participating in a technical team to deliver on a variety of IT infrastructure projects.
Excellent practical and problem solving skills.
Local travel between company sites will be required, located just off Junction 30 and Junction 29A of the M1 (5 minute travel time).
