E_USER_WARNING - “This job is not for everyone”
You would think that a 16 year old business would be quite settled with mature IT systems but what has become apparent over the last few years is that rate of development in backend applications and the features available to front end users is developing at such a pace that we can’t keep up. In fact we are moving further away from the development curve.
Our IT department has always been valued in the business by servicing our commercial needs and with 3 bespoke platforms to manage and feature develop, we have tons of work we want to get through. But we have now reached a point where we need our IT department to proactively add commercial value as we recognise the possibilities and value this can deliver.Apply
Soon we will embark on developing a new ecommerce platform from the ground up and we can explore the latest functionality and development techniques to build a modern and resilient system.
Xbite is very much an IT literate company, with a technical and logical approach at its heart. We are certainly relentless in the pursuit of optimisation and not afraid to start again or change direction if we go down the wrong path. Being an ecommerce business that has sold over 18 million items we are big enough to have economies of scale yet small enough to be dynamic in approach. We use this to our advantage when developing software and applications with 15 other like minded developers and a knowledgeable leadership team.
