Nick Whitehead started Xbite 16 years ago from his home, now in 2020, Nick still runs the show but with a team of over 200 people behind him across head office in Barlborough and distribution centre in Markham Vale. 2021 brings some new challenges and projects for us and what started small, has now turned into a multi channelled international e-comms business. In order for us to continue to grow, we need a broader range of skill and expertise within PPC and SEO which is why we are investing in recruiting an experienced PPC Manager as well as the broader Sales and Marketing team over the next few months.
Before you apply, I am going to ask you a question - Are you confident you can optimise a £1m (and growing) annual PPC spend?
When we say £1m annual spend we don't mean a £1m annual budget - the budget for advertising at Xbite is limitless and we want you to turn that £1m spend into a £2m spend if you can demonstrate the right ROI.
We are looking for an experienced Senior PPC Manager to join our work family. Reporting directly to our Digital Marketing Manager, you will be contributing to our Sales & Marketing department’s aims in a role focused on delivering our website and marketplace sales growth plans through the use of traditional and avant garde advertising methodology.
Free to make the role your own, you will not be micromanaged and will have the creative freedom to trial new techniques, features and software to level up our PPC efforts. Google, Amazon, Ebay, Facebook, Instagram - we're advertising on all the biggest platforms but we want you to come and take it up a notch. If you are an ambitious, high energy, creative problem solver with a naturally curious disposition and an affinity for data and optimisation then we cannot wait to let you loose on our PPC accounts.
Not forgetting SEO - PPC is a critical factor of SEO and we have over 50 websites that perform at varying levels of success in this regard. The role will be the go to focal point for SEO related issues and queries and the rest of the team will support in the roll-out of activity and optimisation. An advanced level of understanding of SEO is required, both front end and technical back end.
We currently have 3 people in the advertising team, collectively responsible for the entire spend. This role will take ultimate responsibility for all the spend and the perfect candidate will train and develop the junior team members. After the initial 2-3 month onboarding process you will then step up into managing and being responsible for the Advertising team.

We are looking for a commercially minded PPC Manager who can come to a meeting with us and be able to demonstrate their experience within a PPC role, how they managed budgets, spend, and monitored ROI specifically using either Google Shopping or Amazon PPC and that they have advanced understanding of SEO specifically within the e-commerce space. We run hundreds of ad campaigns in conjunction so they will need to be highly organised and be able to demonstrate that they are motivated and results driven as we are relentless in our pursuit of our aims and objectives. We don’t want just short term immediate solutions as well, we want to hear about how they have or can develop long term strategies and how they can personally contribute to the development of the team to help them realise their full potential as well.
